Chesaning Completes Sweep of Montrose

Wednesday, May 21, 2008 | 0 comments »

Miguel Cabrera hit a homerun and had 2 RBI at Miller Park where the sizzling
Chesaning Indians beat the Montrose Millers 6 to 5.

Chesaning promptly took the lead in their half of the first scoring 2 runners
on 2 hits. The key at-bat was by Cabrera who deflated the mood of the
partisan fans when he bombed a two-run dinger (his 12th of the season).
Montrose was set down quietly in the bottom of the 9th.

The victory was credited to Taylor Buchholz(2-0) who went 7 and 1/3 innings,
allowing 4 runs. Takashi Saito recorded the save, his 14th. Derek Lowe(2-7)
was the loser.

'I was a little good, a little bad and a little ugly.' said Buchholz, 'I was
just giving us a chance to win.'
