Ryan Dempster dominated striking out 14 Bridge City batters as the Riverton
Raptors topped the Bridge City River Bats by a score of 4 to 2 at Wrigley
Field.
Dempster(2-0) looked very much in control throughout the day. He didn't give
up much, just 6 hits and no walks in 8 and 2/3 innings lowering his ERA from
3.86 to 2.87. Riverton finished with 9 hits in the victory.
Takashi Saito recorded the save, his 5th. Chris Young(0-1) was the loser. He
surrendered 7 hits and 3 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings. Dempster was pleased
with his performance. He noted, 'I had good command of all my pitches. Just
as important, my location was right on.'
