Ryan Dempster allowed Thomas Fischer to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete
game at Dolphins Stadium where the Riverton Raptors beat the Homestead Grays
9 to 2.
J.D. Drew was a thorn in the side of the hometown fans as he enjoyed a fine
day at their team's expense. He popped a two-run clout over the fence (his
5th of the season) in the 1st inning, doubled in the 7th inning and tripled
in the 9th inning. Riverton finished with 14 hits in the victory.
Dempster(4-0) got the victory, allowing 2 runs for the game. Zack Greinke(3-1)
took the loss. He was unable to control the Riverton offense and allowed 12
hits and 2 walks in 7 innings.
'After the stretch we have been through lately, this victory is especially
sweet' offered Thomas Fischer. Now, we just have to make this the norm - not
the exception!'
