Ryan Sweeney had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Richmond Mudcats topped the
slumping Montrose Millers by a score of 4 to 1 at AT&T Park.

Justin Verlander(2-1) was very good in the win. He didn't give up much, just
5 hits and 2 walks in 8 innings. Montrose was out-hit by Richmond, 12 hits
to 5.

Verlander got help from Joakim Soria who was credited with his 2nd save.
Derek Lowe(2-2) was the loser. Richmond now has a record of 5-9. Kent
Haugen was unhappy with his club's recent performance. 'We can't keep losing
games' he said. 'It gets to be embarrassing after a while.'
