Javier Vazquez shut down the Montrose batters on just 3 hits as the Richmond
Mudcats topped the struggling Montrose Millers by a score of 1 to 0 at AT&T
Park.

Vazquez(2-0) was on top of his game. He didn't allow much, just 3 hits and no
walks in 9 innings lowering his ERA to 3.79. Richmond had 11 hits for the
afternoon.

Randy Wolf(1-3) was the loser. He was unable to control the Richmond offense
and allowed 8 hits and 4 walks in 5 and 2/3 innings.

Richmond now has a record of 6-9. Kent Haugen was pretty down after the loss.
'We've really been sputtering along lately, something like 1-9 in the last
week or two. That won't get it done.'
