Ryan Braun connected with a 'big fly' and Cliff Lee completed the game without
help from the bullpen as the Richmond Mudcats beat the Montrose Millers by a
score of 7 to 2.
The game started off with Richmond taking the lead in the first scoring 2
runners on 3 hits. The key at-bat was by Pat Burrell who thrilled the crowd
when he delivered a base-hit which was good for two runs. Richmond had 12
hits for the night.
Lee(1-3) got the victory, allowing 2 runs for the game. Jorge Campillo(0-3)
was the loser. He was knocked around by Richmond, allowing 9 hits and 2
walks in 5 innings.
The win by Richmond is a very welcome one as they have been struggling in
recent days. Their record now stands at 4-9 - only 2-8 in their last ten
games. Montrose continued their losing ways and their record is now 8-14.
They are 1-9 in their last ten games.
