Catcher Henry Blanco cracked 2 homeruns as the red-hot Riverton Raptors
defeated the 10,000 Lakes Lakers by a score of 8 to 4 at Camden Yards.
Jeff Karstens(1-0) pitched well enough to earn the win. He allowed 6 hits and
no walks in 6 innings. Offensively, Riverton was a juggernaut. They scored
in 6 separate innings.
Brad Ziegler gained credit for his 2nd save. The losing pitcher was Mark
Buehrle(4-2). He surrendered 7 runs and 9 hits in 7 innings.
With the win, Riverton continued their winning ways; their streak now stands
at 9 games and counting. 'Everything seems to be going right for us' said
Thomas Fischer. 'I've got the easiest job in the league right now!'
