Alfredo Amezaga hit 2 doubles and had 3 RBI as the Erie County Sea Wolves
topped the Hillsboro Raiders by a score of 10 to 9 at Jacobs Field.
 
Erie County had the game winning rally in the top of the 8th inning scoring 2
runs on 2 hits.  After an out was recorded, Orlando Cabrera kicked off the
action when he delivered a one-base hit.  Cabrera was running on the next
pitch and he stole second.  Erie County continued their aggressive style with
another stolen base.  Jorge Cantu was up next and he was hit by a pitch.
Erie County got their 2nd stolen base of the inning.  Adam Kennedy added to
the rally and hit a sacrifice fly.  Ramon Vazquez was next and he was walked
intentionally.  Endy Chavez then doubled.  A.J. Pierzynski stepped in and he
was walked intentionally to load the bases.  Hillsboro threatened in the 9th
but Erie County was able to put down the rally.  
 
Scott Linebrink(1-0) got the win allowing 5 runs in 2 innings. Linebrink got
help from Joe Smith who earned his 1st save.  Frank Francisco(1-2) was tagged
with the loss in relief.  
 
'We lose our concentration for one pitch, and we lose the game.' Bill Levinson
said after the game.  'Maybe now these guys will listen when I say they have
to concentrate on EVERY pitch.'
