Gabe Kapler had 2 base hits as the Riverton Raptors defeated the Erie County
Sea Wolves in 13 innings by the score of 2 to 1 at McAfee Coliseum.
 
The score was knotted at 1 after nine innings.  Riverton won it in the 13th
inning.  Scott Rolen banged out a single.  Rick Ankiel was next and he drew a
walk.  Henry Blanco then laid down a sacrifice bunt.  Derek Jeter was up next
and he hit a sacrifice fly.  Riverton had only 5 hits for the afternoon.
 
Takashi Saito(1-1) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1 and 1/3
innings. Tyler Yates(0-3) absorbed the loss in relief.  With this win,
Riverton has a 39-23 record.  They have been 6-4 lately.  Jeff Shaver was
unhappy with his club's recent performance.  'We can't keep losing games' he
said.  'It gets to be embarrassing after a while.'
