Homestead Grays by a score of 2 to 1 at Busch Stadium.
Ryan Dempster(16-1) was in control of the game from the outset. He didn't
give up much, just 5 hits and 2 walks in 8 innings. Takashi Saito pitched a
perfect ninth and was credited with his 33rd save.
Matt Cain(8-7) was the loser. He pitched 7 and 1/3 innings and surrendered 6
hits and 4 walks.

Ervin Santana pitched 9 strong innings and right fielder Hunter Pence lofted
one into the 'cheap seats' and had 2 RBI as the Homestead Grays beat the
Riverton Raptors by a score of 7 to 0.
Homestead wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning scoring a
single run. That was all the offense they were to need. Homestead totaled
16 hits on the night.
For Santana(8-9) it was his 2nd shutout this year. Brandon Webb(14-7) ended up
with the loss. He was knocked around, surrendering 6 runs in 3 and 1/3
innings.
'Santana took our guys to school' Thomas Fischer said. 'Too bad he doesn't
pitch for us - it would make my job a whole lot easier!'

Cliff Lee carried a no-hitter into the 6th inning as the Riverton Raptors
outscored the Homestead Grays 2 to 1.
Lee(6-13) was simply too much for the Homestead batters. He was stingy on the
mound, allowing just 2 hits and no walks in 7 innings. The left-handed Lee
lost his chance for a no-hitter when Hunter Pence singled with nobody out in
the 6th inning. Homestead had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came
up short.
Lee was helped out by Takashi Saito who recorded his 32nd save. Tim
Lincecum(9-11) was the losing pitcher. He surrendered 2 runs and 9 hits in 7
innings.

Dan Uggla cracked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at Great American Bpk where the
Daber Flames beat the Riverton Raptors by the score of 6 to 3.
Uggla helped send the fans home happy. He smashed a solo-shot out of the park
in the 1st inning and lifted one out of the park for a two run home run (his
19th of the season) in the 3rd inning. After the 3rd inning, neither team
was able to score.
Wandy Rodriguez(3-4) picked up the victory, allowing 3 runs in 5 and 1/3
innings. Armando Galarraga earned his 1st save. Nick Blackburn(10-6) was the
losing pitcher. He gave up 5 runs in 2 innings and saw his ERA jump from
3.34 to 3.60.

Ryan Dempster reeled off a total of 10 strikeouts at Great American Bpk where
the Riverton Raptors beat the ice-cold Daber Flames 4 to 2.
Dempster(15-1) gave Riverton a solid outing. He went 7 innings surrendering 4
hits and 5 walks. Riverton had 10 hits for the night while Daber had 5.
Takashi Saito recorded his 28th save. Jamie Moyer(3-14) was tagged with the
loss. He got hit hard, allowing 9 hits and 4 walks in 6 innings.
'Everything felt great' Dempster said. 'I had a good fastball, I felt I could
throw it by everybody tonight.'

Left fielder Pat Burrell blasted 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Riverton
Raptors topped the ice-cold Daber Flames by a score of 7 to 1 at Great
American Bpk.
The Daber fans didn't appreciate the big day Burrell had. He cracked a
two-run shot in the 3rd inning and popped a two-run clout over the fence (his
17th of the season) in the 8th inning. Riverton totaled 11 hits on the
night.
Brandon Webb(14-5) got the win allowing 1 run in 7 and 2/3 innings. Jason
Bergmann(0-1) absorbed the loss. He served up 3 gopher balls in 7 and 1/3
innings.

Brandon Webb delivered 7 and two third solid innings as the sizzling Riverton
Raptors defeated the Las Vegas Godfathers 1 to 0 at Ameriquest
Field.
Webb(13-5) put on a good performance. He didn't give up much, just 4 hits and
no walks in 7 and 2/3 innings. Las Vegas had a chance in the 9th but they
came up short.
Webb was helped out by Takashi Saito who recorded his 25th save. Matt
Garza(4-7) suffered the loss. He gave up 5 hits and 7 walks in 8 innings.
For Riverton, the victory kept their winning streak on the march.

In a two run game the seemingly unstoppable Riverton Raptors got by the Las
Vegas Godfathers by the score of 5 to 3.
Riverton came through with the game-winning runs in the 8th inning as they
scored 4 runs on 5 base hits. The big moment was provided by Alexei Ramirez
who quieted the crowd when he lifted one out of the park for a two run home
run (his 12th of the season). Las Vegas was retired without difficulty in
the bottom of the 9th.
The victory was credited to Adam Eaton(2-1) who went 7 and 2/3 innings,
allowing 3 runs. Takashi Saito earned the save, his 24th. John Danks(11-4)
suffered the loss.
Riverton added another win to their now very impressive winning streak.

First baseman Albert Pujols left the yard as the sizzling Riverton Raptors
defeated the floundering Toledo Mud Hens in 11 innings by a score of 3 to 2
at Metrodome.
Both teams were tied at 2 runs apiece after nine innings. Riverton won it in
the 11th inning. After an out was recorded, Torii Hunter laced a single.
Scott Rolen came next and he stroked a base-hit. Rolen took second on the
throw. Victor Martinez then hit a deep fly. Alexei Ramirez stepped in and
he drew a walk. Riverton had 11 hits for the game and Toledo had 8.
The win was credited to Taylor Buchholz(3-1) who went 1 and 2/3 innings

Left fielder Rick Ankiel smacked 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI at Metrodome as the
red-hot Riverton Raptors belted the ice-cold Toledo Mud Hens by the count of
15 to 4.
Ankiel was really in 'the zone'. He lifted one out of the park for a two run
home run in the 1st inning, lofted a three-run 'big-fly' (his 18th of the
season) in the 6th inning and laced a single in the 7th inning. Riverton
provided plenty of action in the 4th inning with 4 runs, the 6th inning which
saw them plate 4 runs on 3 hits and the 7th inning when they had 4 runs on 5
hits. Riverton out-hit Toledo for the game, 17 hits to 9.
Ryan Dempster(12-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 7 innings and
allowing 2 runs. Brian Burres(0-1) was the loser. He had trouble throwing
strikes and issued 14 walks in 9 innings.
For Riverton, the victory kept their winning streak on the march.

Fernando Tatis blasted 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI at Metrodome as the seemingly
unstoppable Riverton Raptors beat the ice-cold Toledo Mud Hens 14 to
5.
Tatis provided the offensive punch. He lined a single in the 2nd inning,
smashed a solo-shot out of the park in the 7th inning and rifled a three-run
blast (his 7th of the season) in the 8th inning. Riverton had 15 hits for
the game and Toledo had 8.
The victory was credited to Brandon Webb(12-5) who went 6 innings, allowing 4
runs. Ian Snell(0-1) was tagged with the loss. He was touched for 3 homeruns
in his 9 innings of work.
With the win, Riverton continues their noteworthy winning streak. Brandt
Ricker was very irritated after the contest. 'Just our luck to run into a
team that's playing like a juggernaut right now. I have to congratulate
Thomas Fischer on his team's recent performance. A very impressive run.'
