In a game for the baseball purist, Pedro Martinez(2-2) and James
Shields(13-12) squared off in a tense pitching duel, seemingly unstoppable
Las Vegas Godfathers finally emerged victorious over Hillsboro Raiders, 3 to
1.
 
Las Vegas took the lead for good in the top of the 2nd inning scoring a single
run.  Las Vegas out-hit Hillsboro for the game, 8 hits to 5.  
 
Geoff Geary earned the save, his 5th.
