The Riverton Raptors had an easy time of it at Busch Stadium defeating the
Roeland Park Royals by a score of 8 to 1.
Riverton wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning plating an
isolated run on 2 hits. After two outs J.D. Drew laced a base-knock. Albert
Pujols was next and he doubled. Riverton finished with 15 hits while Roeland
Park ended up with 9.
The victory was credited to Cliff Lee(1-0) who went 6 and 1/3 innings,
allowing 1 run. The loss was charged to Adam Wainwright(0-1). He allowed
Riverton 7 runs in 5 innings of work.
