Left fielder Milton Bradley hit one over the fence and had 3 RBI as the Bridge
City River Bats beat the Riverton Raptors by a score of 4 to 3.
Bridge City brought 3 runs across the plate in the bottom of the 6th inning.
The key offensive moment was provided by Bradley who made the crowd happy
when he lofted a three-run 'big-fly' (his 4th of the season). Riverton had a
chance in the 9th but they came up short.
The win went to Ben Sheets(3-1) who allowed 3 runs in 6 and 2/3 innings.
Sheets was helped out by Huston Street who recorded his 1st save. Ryan
Dempster(4-2) was hit with the loss.
Thomas Fischer was subdued after the ballgame, 'That one really hurts. If our
guys had simply played more fundamentally sound, we could have won that one.
That is what really ticks me off!'
